It contains a unique combination of ingredients - Urea, Ceramide and other Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMFs)—which bind moisture in and repair skin s natural protective barrier to prevent further moisture loss. The main active ingredient is Urea: the ‘gold standard’ for dry skin treatment. Urea is a humectant (meaning it attracts water to the skin). It also increases the water-binding capacity of the skin and helps to maintain its barrier function. This improves elasticity and protects against moisture loss (known as transepidermal water loss, or TEWL). The Eucerin UreaRepair PLUS complex combines Urea with Ceramides, Gluco-Glycerol and other NMFs that support Urea’s efficacy.
