Voltaren enteric coated tablets contains an active ingredient diclofenac sodium 50mg which belongs to Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs). They have anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-rheumatic properties which help to reduce pain and swelling associated with joint and muscle. Voltaren enteric coated tablets are gastro-resistant to prevent gastric irritability. An enteric coating is a polymer barrier applied to oral medication that prevents its dissolution or disintegration in the gastric environment. Voltaren relieves pain and reduces inflammation that may occur in different types of arthritis including rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, other painful conditions where swelling is a problem such as back pain, rheumatism, muscle strains, sprains and tendonitis and menstrual cramps.

• Take Voltaren by mouth. Swallow the tablets whole with a drink and before a meal or on an empty stomach. They will work more quickly if you take them at least half an hour before meals or two hours after meals. But, if they upset your stomach, you can take them with food
• Do not crush, chew or suck the tablets. The tablets have a special coating to stop them dissolving until they have passed through the stomach into the bowel. Chewing them would destroy the coating.
• Recommended for adults and adolescents above 14 years of age
• General dosage: The recommended starting dose is 100 mg to 150 mg each day
• Do not exceed more than 150mg per day or as directed
